The Story Behind ALVA
Behind ALVA Resort is a family: two young parents, Emilia and Alex, and their two children, Alvar and Aaron. A dream shaped by years of travelling together, and always seeking places that feel like more than somewhere to sleep.
ALVA was born from a desire to create moments where families and couples can pause, breathe and experience the beauty of Lapland's nature. A place where the view, a quiet morning, a warm light or a small detail stays with you long after the journey ends.
The name ALVA carries a double meaning. It speaks of light and flame - a warm glow guiding you home through the darkness. It also echoes the Nordic fairy-like beings said to live deep within the forest, bringing a subtle sense of wonder and mystery.

Make the most out of your time

AURORA TOURS
At ALVA, you can watch the northern lights from the warmth of your own cabin. However, if you'd like to venture further out into the Arctic night, a tour guide will take you to the right spots to see the magic.

HUSKY SAFARI
At the husky farm, you may sit back in a sled and let a team of eager dogs pull you deep into the beautiful Arctic forest. Afterwards, you will be able to meet the dogs up close and warm up by a fire.

SNOWMOBILE SAFARI
On a snowmobile safari, you move through the Arctic forest at your own pace - trees on either side, fresh snow underfoot, and a guide who knows the terrain well. A simple, honest way to cover ground and see Lapland as it really is.

REINDEER FARM
At the reindeer farm, you may ride through snow-covered forests on a reindeer sleigh, feed the animals by hand, and warm up by a campfire as the Arctic forest settles into silence around you.

SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE
Santa Claus Village sits right on the Arctic Circle, just a short drive from ALVA. Whether you're visiting with children or simply curious, it's a place that has a way of catching you off guard. Worth an afternoon.

SAUNA & AVANTO
The sauna is as Finnish as it gets — warm, unhurried, and genuinely good for you. Take the plunge into the icy water afterwards if you're feeling brave. It's a tradition for a reason, and one most people end up being glad they tried.
